Challenges to internal security in India and the role of external and non-state actors in it In the current changing economic-political situation, external security as well as internal security is a very important issue. Terrorism, Naxalism, illegal trade, human trafficking, organized crime, regionalism, ethnic conflict, religious bigotry etc. are in front of a wide range of internal security. There are serious challenges. Presently there is a nexus between terrorism, trafficking and organized crime. While terrorism finances organized crime, organized crime and trafficking make terrorism aware of the ground realities.
In this way, by cooperating in each other's work, they pose a serious challenge to national security and breaking this alliance by the government becomes a very difficult task. Some similar conditions are seen in the north-east of India and the western border areas adjoining Pakistan. These are great threats to the sovereignty, territorial unity and integrity, peace and stability of the country. An environment of disorder and imbalance is created by the anti-social and anti-national elements in an organized manner to fulfill their vested interests. Their purpose is to prove the law and order of the country weak, which adversely affects the image of the nation to a great extent. Industry and foreign investment are affected. The riots in Kamalin Gujarat and Odisha have greatly affected India's image abroad, the internal security situation of the land also affects international trends. India is grappling with many internal security related problems which include the problem of nation building, religious hatred, ethnic and linguistic disputes, problems arising out of separatism and administrative incompetence and problems arising out of ideological differences etc. Social and political system in a diverse country like India It has proved to be a challenging task to develop the sense of loyalty, credibility and dedication to all classes, communities and individuals.By taking advantage of this, many groups and organizations including external states and external non-state actors - religion, language, region etc. have their own on narrow lines. By describing religion and language as the best, they spread the feeling of hatred and harm the unity and integrity of the nation by promoting the mentality of regionalism, linguistic, communalism.
The problem of separatism is also prevalent in some states of the country, such as the demand for independence in Kashmir, the demand for a separate state and autonomous region in the Northeast continues to arise. However, administrative incompetence is also considered a reason behind these problems. Naxalism is uneven. Along with development, it can also be considered a problem arising out of ideological differences. In some degree it is also a problem of terrorism. In addition, globalization is also caused by wide global reach, uncertainty and instability in the countries ofthe world as well as South Asia. Here are some of the factors that fuel regional instability: increasing polarization among global powers and increasing resentment among countries and groups marginalized by globalization and widening the scope of partisanship and inequality, Eastern Europe and the emergence of sub-nationalist niches and various radical nationalist movements in West and Central Asia, the challenges to state power, the weakening of progressively and the widening of the scope of mis governance and disorder, the emergence of radical political and religious ideologies of religious extremists, Efforts to restructure the global geopolitical scene incertain areas such as Islamic extremism, ethnic extremism and Maoism, and the arrival of advanced types and more capable weapons in the hands of extremist non-state actors, the emergence of problems arising from new social tensions.
