India-Ethiopia Relations
Bilateral relations between India and Ethiopia are based on mutual interests and historical and cultural ties. The cultural ties between the two countries are about 2000 years old.

India is the third largest trading partner of Ethiopia.India accounts for about 11 per cent of Ethiopia's overall imports,which include iron and steel products, medicines and pharmaceuticals, manufactured machinery and machinery, transport and electrical equipment. India imports cotton, pulses and spices from Ethiopia.
India is the second largest foreign investor in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is one of the major countries to take advantage of the concessional credit facility provided by India to African countries for development projects.
India has invested around US$ 4.78 billion in various projects in Ethiopia. About 40 percent of this investment has been made in the sector of commercial agriculture.
India is leading Ethiopian in the fields of education, science, technology and defense etc.Playing an active role in capacity building.
