The National Commission for Protection For Child Rights
1. To examine and review the protection of child rights provided or under any law at a particular time and recommend measures for their effective implementation.
2. To submit reports to the Central Government annually or as the Commission thinks fit, on the working of the provisions of those safeguards.
3. To investigate the violation of child rights and initiate action in such cases recommend. To examine the factors of children affected by terrorism, communal violence, riots,natural calamities, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS sex trafficking, abuse, harassment and exploitation,pornography and prostitution, which promise their rights and recommend appropriate remedial measures.
4. Dealing with matters relating to children in need of special care and protection, including children in distress, marginalized children, survivors, children working illegally,juveniles, children without families and children of prisoners, as well as their To recommend appropriate remedial steps.
5. To study agreements and other international documents and periodically review existing policies,programs and other activities on child rights and make recommendations for their effective implementation in the interest of children.
6. To conduct research in the field of child rights.
7. To spread child rights literacy in different areas of the society and to spread awareness about the protection provisions available for these rights through publications, media, seminars and other means.
8. Any Juvenile Custody Home or any other residence or institution where children are kept or detained for treatment, improvement or protection, which is under the Central Government or State Government or any other authority, includes any social organization Inspect or order the same, and also order these institutions to take remedial action if necessary.
9. Investigating complaints and sending notices on your behalf in the following cases:
(i) Violation and deprivation of child rights.
(ii) Non-implementation of laws available for the protection and development of children.
(iii) non-compliance of policy decisions, guidelines or directions which reduce the hardships of the children and ensure the welfare of the children, and to provide relief to such children or to discuss such matters with the appropriate authorities.
