Left Wing Extremism
Reasons:-
There are many socio-economic reasons for such dissatisfaction. It is believed that inclusive growth has not taken place in India.Majority of the people are deprived of the benefits of development. The government schemes which are run to eliminate the unemployment of the people, either they are not implemented properly or they get delayed a lot. Poor understanding of the problems of poverty, hunger and unplanned and uncontrolled development
The failure of land reform policies to promote the exploitation and dissatisfaction of the rural people and the contribution of land-related reasons, such as lack of entitlement to land bythe landless, existence of special land-tenancy, land by other classes. Unauthorised possession and violation of land transfer rules mentioned in the 5th Schedule etc.
Many new power, irrigation and mining projects in the process of development led to large-scale displacement of tribals, depriving them of traditional forest land and forest based jobs.
Development works disrupted the traditional occupations of the tribal people and deprived them of traditional rights in common property resources.
Due to the Forest Act passed in 1980, there was an increase in the discontent in the forest areas. Even after the 2008 amendment, there remained dissatisfaction about it.
Mining activities in these resource-rich areas have led to division between tribes and non-tribals and there has been no reduction in poverty. Poor compliance of compensation and employment conditions by mining companies is also a major reason for dissatisfaction.
Corruption in essential services, such as health, education, food etc., shows the inefficiency of the government. Misuse of police power and unsatisfactory work of local institutions also contribute to increasing discontent.
Rehabilitation should be made 'public' without proper policy. The acquisition of land for the purpose has also led to displacement which gave rise to dissatisfaction here
