Government Initiative To Reduce Naxal Movement In India
After getting the green signal for the mobile tower project in 2014, 2343 mobile towers were installed in the first phase at a cost of Rs 4080 crore. In the second phase, 2542 towers are being installed at an expenditure of Rs.2210 crores.
Eklavya Model Residential Schools are being opened. 234 such schools have been opened in 253 blocks of the affected areas.
The skill development scheme started in 34 districts in 2011 was expanded to 47 districts in 2016. 47 ITIs and 68 Skill Development Centers have been sanctioned.
To bridge the gap between the security forces and the local people and to win the hearts of the local population, the Civic Action Program was launched.
