Sandai Framework
The Sandai Declaration is related to disaster risk reduction, which was approved in the year 2015.
Seven goals and four priority areas have been fixed in this manifesto.
Four priority areas set for the implementation of the manifesto are the following
1. Understanding disaster risk.
2. Strengthening of disaster risk governance for disaster risk management.
3. Investments to reduce disaster risk.
4. Emphasis on disaster preparedness, reconstruction, rehabilitation.
The following are the seven goals set under this :-
1. Reducing death from disasters.
2.To reduce the number of people affected by disasters.
3. Reducing the loss in global GDP.
4. Reducing barriers to access to basic facilities and services,such as education and health facilities.
5.Promote Disaster Management Strategy at National and Local Level To give.
6. To promote international cooperation for the implementation of the Declaration.
7. Dissemination of disaster warning systems and disaster risk information.
It is worth mentioning that the Sendai Declaration is very important from India's point of view because India is highly vulnerable to natural disasters as well as man-made disasters. The Government of India has taken many important steps after the manifesto.
Asian Ministerial on Disaster Risk Reduction in November 2016 Conference (AMCDRR) was organized. here' new For the implementation of the 'Delhi Declaration' and the Sendai Framework The regional action plan was approved.
The Prime Minister announced a ten-point agenda, aimed at reducing disaster risk.The Government of India has released a list of primary actions for state governments based on the Sendai Framework.
- The government has given a grant of one million dollars to the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction for the implementation of the declaration.
