Salwa Judum
Salwa Judum was one such movement in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh which took the form of a mass movement against the atrocities committed by the Naxalites. Literally the meaning of Salwa Judum is 'collective problem solving platform' and the intimidation by the Naxalites and the people fed up with the money laundering, this movement got a lot of strength. It is told administratively. That it was a peaceful and easy and voluntary step of the people to protest against the Naxalite movement. The Naxalites never wanted the Salwa Judum movement to be successful in Bastar, as Bastar was their biggest hiding place when they were driven out by the Andhra Pradesh security force 'Greyhonds'. The Naxalites established their government in the Dandakaranya zone (which is the confluence of the remote parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh,Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra). This area is very important for the Naxalites from strategic and geo-political point of view. So the Naxalites devised their strategy against the Salwa Judum. Firstly, the leaders of this movement were said to be anti-people, certain leaders were murdered, secondly, the Naxalites gave their full strength to finish the Salwa Judum movement at the very beginning, giving full facilities to make their public relations. Soon the Salwa Judum movement lost the confidence of the people in many ways. It was told that this is a proxy movement launched by the police for which the police is forcibly recruiting children. it is considered. That in the year 2006, the Naxalites killed more than one hundred villagers belonging to the Salwa Judum movement. In May 2013, senior Congress leader Mahendra Karma, who supported the Salwa Judum movement, was brutally murdered. It is surprising that the so-called human rights critics and intellectual supporters remained silent on this action ofNaxalites. The Salwa Judum movement was thwarted at an early stage as there was no support of any kind against such propaganda.
