India plans to take the 'India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway'to Vietnam via Cambodia and Laos. India is also providing one billion dollar line of credit facility to ASEAN countries for financing physical and digital connectivity projects with ASEAN.
During the visit of the President of Vietnam to India, both sides underlined the importance of early signing of the 'ASEAN-India Maritime Transport Cooperation Agreement'. In addition, the two countries have also agreed ona shared approach to the rules-based order for peace, prosperity and security of the Pacific Ocean. Both countries share a common approach towards creating a framework under the spices of the United Nations Organization to eliminate all forms of violent extremism, cyber security and terrorism.
