Ethics As A Moral System
Ethics as a moral system is a relative objective concept. Relative objective refers to a general consensus about moral rules in society. It should be noted that there is scope for flexibility in these rules even though there is rigidity. Every moral system also advises some moral rules i.e.'what should be done, what should not'. This sense of 'what' and 'should' makes ethics 'consulting' in the moral system.
In this system, there can be an effect of internal motivation or pressure on the person and also external, for example, if one's conscience does not testify to do some work, then it will be considered as his internal pressure.
Moral system changes with time and society, so it is dynamic. For example, what is moral in Britain may not necessarily be moral in India, so the same thing at the same time is ethical in different social systems Can be immoral.
Finally, morality is an acquired concept, it is part of socialization that is gradually learned. When man was coming into the social structure, he was not social, nor did he have any knowledge of the moral system, but gradually he became apart of this system, so it is a learned process.
